Beau M asked:

Our American History teacher is haveing us come up with an invention for class. It relates to the innovations of the Gilded age and how it sculpted that era. The invention should be something in our time period. And it can modify an already exsisiting product, or something totally new. It needs to be able to be made into a real thing, and I have to package it, and I have to advertise it also. Use your imagination.

Did you see Ron Paul’s latest comments and discussion of the stimulus package coming up?

DAR asked:

“Stimulus for Who?
This week the House is expected to pass an $825 billion economic stimulus package. In reality, this bill is just an escalation of a government-created economic mess. As before, a sense of urgency and impending doom is being used to extract mountains of money from Congress with minimal debate. So much for change. This is dj vu. We are again being promised that its passage will help employment, help homeowners, help the environment, etc. These promises are worthless. This time around especially, Congress should know better than to pass anything of this magnitude without first reading the fine print. There a many red flags that I have found in this bill.

At least $4 billion is allocated to expanding the police state and the war on drugs through Byrne grants, which even the Bush administration opposed, and the COPS program, both of which are corrupt and largely ineffective programs.

To help Big Brother keep a better eye on us and our children, $20 billion would go towards health information technology, which would create a national system of electronic medical records without adequate privacy protection. These records would instead be subject to the misnamed federal medical privacy rule, which allows government and state-favored special interests to see medical records at will. An additional $250 million is allocated for states to nationalize individual student data, expanding Federal control of education and eroding privacy.

$79 billion bails out states that haphazardly expanded their budgets during the bubble years, but refuse to retrench and cut back, as their taxpayers have had to, during recession years.

$200 million expands Americorps. $100 million goes to faith-and-community based organizations for social services, which will further insinuate the government into charity and community service. Private charities are much more efficient and effective because they are directly accountable to donors, while public programs tend to get rewarded for failure. With its money, the Federal Government brings its incompetence and its whims, while creating foolish dependence. This is sad to see.

Of course the bill is rife with central planning projects. $4 billion for job training, much of which will be used to direct workers into green jobs. $200 million to encourage electric cars, $2 billion to support US manufacturers of advanced batteries and battery systems, which is yet another function of government I cant find in the Constitution. Not to mention $500 million for energy efficient manufacturing demonstration projects, $70 million for a Technology Innovation Program for research in potentially revolutionary technologies in which government, not supply and demand, will pick winners and losers. $746 million for afterschool snacks, $6.75 billion for the Department of Commerce, including $1 billion for a census.

This bill delivers an additional debt burden of $6,700 to every American man, woman and child.

There is a lot of stimulus and growth in this bill that is, of government. Nothing in this bill stimulates the freedom and prosperity of the American people. Politician-directed spending is never as successful as market-driven investment. Instead of passing this bill, Congress should get out of the way by cutting taxes, cutting spending, and reining in the reckless monetary policy of the Federal Reserve.

Paul Kellum asked:

Show your prospects how much enthusiasm you have for your product and business. If you’re convincing enough, they will be enthusiastic too.

2. End your sales letter or ad copy with a strong closing. It could be a free bonus, a discount price, a benefit reminder, an ordering deadline, etc.

3. Please your complaining customers. You can refund their money, give them a discount, give them a free gift, solve the problem quickly, etc.

4. Make your customers get excited about your business and they will tell their friends. Give them a free vacation certificate, a coupon, etc.

5. Give your prospects extra confidence so they will order. Use endorsements, testimonials, a strong guarantee or warranty, etc.

6. Build your opt-in list by allowing your visitors to sign up for a free e-zine, ebooks, software, contests, sweepstakes, etc.

7. Give your prospects or customers a breath of fresh air. Don’t be afraid to design your web site and ad copies different from everyone else.

8. Allow your customers to get part of your total offer right after they order. If you have to ship the item, make one of your bonuses available online.

9. Write and submit articles to e-zine publishers or webmasters. If you want it to be published, it should be like an article and not like an ad.

10. Show your prospects that you are an expert, because authority can persuade people to buy. You could publish an article, write an ebook, etc.

11. You could cross promote your product with other businesses’ products in a package deal. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other businesses selling for you.

12. When you ship out or deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you.

13. Send your customers a catalog of add-on products for the original product they purchased. This could be upgrades, special services, attachments, etc. If they enjoy your product they will buy the extra add-ons. 14. Sell gift certificates for your products. You’ll make sales from the purchase of the gift certificate, when the recipient cashes it in. They could also buy other items from your web site.

15. Send your customers free products with their product package. The freebies should have your ad printed on them. It could be bumper stickers, ball caps, t-shirts etc. This will allow other people to see your ad and order.

The Ultimate Wealth Package - an Alternative Review

Written by packagin on February 22nd, 2009

Jeff Bradley asked:

What do we have to say about The The Ultimate Wealth Package, the latest web marketing product to hit the web? Is it useful, or is it a scam? Will it make you rich? Or is it a waste of money? Well, yes and no, because its really a matter of opinion

First of all, I will be honest with you and say that I didnt buy it. I probably wont buy it. Why you ask? Well, through the amazing powers of Google, I did a little snooping and from a couple of searches and a couple of reviews, I was able to get enough information as to its contents to formulate my decision not to buy it. It doesnt mean however that my decision should be your decision. I would encourage you to read on and well make your own decision about it.

First, is it informative? Well, again its probably a matter of opinion, but if youre a newcomer to the world of web marketing, then I would have to say, YES, it is definitely informative and definitely worth the money. I dont need to buy it to figure that out. Most of the new get rich quick methods and products being marketed on the web in any large fashion, will probably be informative. Since all the old get rich quick methods have been used to death and web marketers are constantly trying to sell products they think people will buy, they are forced to either innovate and create a new marketing method, repackage an old method with a fancy new title and branding, or just jam pack a bunch of things into a large package and sell it for cheap with a fancy new title and branding

In my opinion, thats what The The Ultimate Wealth Package is. I think the title speaks for itself in some ironic way. What you will get when you buy this package is a boat load of resources, tools and ebooks that will help you make money with web marketing for $46. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, theres even a secret link to a discount page where you can get it even cheaper. Heck, the comprehensive 300 page marketing ebook it comes with is worth the money in itself. The key is that it is all valuable knowledge, and for that price, you get a LOT of it.

So basically what I am trying to say is, if youre new to the world of web marketing and want to learn how to make money at it, just shell out a few bucks and buy one of these huge get rich quick packages. Learn as much as you can from it and either follow their methods or use the knowledge to develop your own methods. The Ultimate Wealth Package, is one of them, so just pick one and dig in!

Good luck and happy marketing.

How should we celebrate the birth of a pony?

Just Billy asked:

April 17, 1964

Ford introduced the Ford Mustang on the first day of the New York World’s Fair in Flushing, Queens. The Mustang had been the brainchild of Lee Iacocca and his production team. The car was essentially a Ford Falcon with a new frame and body. The Mustang was so successfully marketed, thanks in part to its introduction at the World’s Fair, that it became one of Ford’s best-selling models of all time. Ford profits soared after the release of the Mustang. Another of Iacocca’s Mustang-related innovations was a new strategy of marketing upgrade packages for the car. On this day in 1965, a year into the Mustang’s lifetime, Ford introduced the GT Equipment Group as an option on the Mustang, creating the first Mustang GT. Iacocca commented on the success of the package, “People want economy so badly they don’t care how much they pay for it.” The base price for the Mustang was a skinny $2,368, but buyers purchased an average of $1,000 worth of options.
It’s okay, Doc. Fact is, it’s true. I am a nerd.

Cosmetic Products Packaging is a Highly Technical Field Involving the Latest in Industrial Science and Space Age Technology

Written by packagin on February 15th, 2009

packaging innovation
Andrew Torchon asked:

Azusa, CA Businesses use a wide range of packaging on a daily basis but what most companies look for more than a simple plastic bottles manufacturer is a packaging company that will provide business solutions and innovative packaging at fair and competitive pricing.

The variety of cosmetic products packaging takes on all kinds of shapes, sizes and functionalities. The list is endless; airless bottles, atomizers, foamer bottles, jars, tubes, sprayers, triggers, cans, canisters and droppers. The right package to hold a particular product has become far more complicated than in the early days of the industrial revolution when most liquids had to settle for a simple packing glass bottle container.

The plastic bottles manufacturer industry is a very competitive business these days and the need to be a step ahead of the rest of the pack makes being innovative and knowledgeable in the newest technologies and chemical compounds a requirement for being successful. Changes in packaging materials along with fluctuating costs equates to a manufacturer being up to date in their development department as well as have the ability to maximize effective methods for producing highly sustainable products.

Adding to the mix of fiscal management and manufacturing efficiency is the need to incorporate more green technologies in the every day products. One such company that has been successful at balancing the many levels of the industry is Arminak-Associates.

A leader in plastic bottles manufacturing and cosmetic products packaging, Arminak has introduced an elegant line of Cosmetics Packaging made from a renewable, biodegradable polymer. This new green process significantly lowers the carbon foot print when compared to more traditional petroleum based plastic resin and provides for a better recyclable product that still maintains its high sustainability.

“You dont have to compromise aesthetics or performance to satisfy customer demands for environmentally friendly packaging.”

Everyday millions of consumers lift, tote, and carry a huge selection of plastic containers with an equal variety of items inside. Since the introduction of plastics in the early 20th century people have been relying on the different kinds of packaging that plastics can be formed into. Each year new polymers are discovered and with each new application comes a new challenge for both the manufacturing industry and the products company that uses them.

But without the innovative resourcefulness of companies like Arminak & Associates the world of convenience and simplicity would become a battle ground over how to provide cost effective packaging without hurting the budget or sacrificing the planet.

The Greener Flavor in Packaging Supplies

Written by packagin on February 11th, 2009

pvyas asked:

‘Turn Green’ is the mantra that seems to be enveloping the world, at present. This fact is clearly evident by the fact that now even packaging supplies are turning green. A host of various green packaging supplies and environmental friendly products have flooded the markets. Also referred as eco friendly packaging supplies or Eco Products, various packaging application goes into making these successful packaging supplies. Recently many packaging supplies manufacturers have shown great interest in turning the packaging industry green with more environment friendly products. Even the government of countries all over the world are getting pro actively involved to to replace all non eco friendly options sooner rather than later.

The eco industry is growing rapidly and there is a huge demand to reduce the hazard environmental impact through by providing safe and natural alternatives in order to deliver materials, processes and technology solutions. According to ETAP (Environmental Technologies Action Plan), The global eco-industry is fore casted to be worth some 700 billion by 2010. Following the suit, the packaging industry and manufacturers have come up with various green packaging solutions to reduce environmental jeopardy. Almost everyday, a new idea is created. Some of the recently innovated measures taken for checking harmful packaging supplies, following are some of the green characteristics that are generally adopted by the manufacturers.

Made from recycled materials (100% or varying lesser percentages)

Made from annually sustainable materials (ex: bamboo farms, corn, soya, cotton)

Made from organic farmed materials (ex: organic bamboo, organic corn)

Biodegradable materials (ex: clam shells, unbleached paper)

Recyclable material (ex: cardboard papers, corrugated paper, glass)

Reusable products (ex: glass bottles)

Energy efficiency, such as achieved by reduction in packaging processes, packaging systems, manufacturing process or distribution savings (ex: using plastic bottles instead of glass bottles because of reduced carbon output in the shipping of a lighter product).

The most efficient markets for the implementation of the green methodology are the cardboard boxes, compost able food containers and biodegradable products like biodegradable bags, biodegradable trash bags, biodegradable garbage bags, biodegradable plastics, biodegradable paper, biodegradable films and biodegradable green materials.

Today, business realize that materials, systems, and processes need to be greener as the choice of caring about the impact for the environment is not only the ethical but also the future of the packaging industry. It is being realized that all the business that do not have any alternatives for greener packaging supplies and also do not incorporate environmental friendly products in their line of manufacturing, tend to lose their market share to environment friendly business that aims to create a new generation of eco friendly alternatives and solutions.

In present scenario, the packaging supplies have been evolved in a manner that can be reused by the consumer rather than just being tossed. Upscale, longer lasting packaging like thick wall boxes, handled containers, rope handle bags, etc. can be used over and over by many consumers thus allowing a longer life span for a brand. These are some of the reasons that have earned huge recognition for greener packaging supplies in the packaging industry.

Amy L asked:

The SpecRight Program is one that aims to increase awareness. It also strives to provide resources to related industry organizations, and National Roofing Consultants Association (NRCA) products that help contractors, designers and consultants specify and build energy-efficient roof systems.

Craig Silvertooth, executive director of the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing, has said that roof replacement and insulation would generate jobs and increase the energy efficiency of buildings, and wants this incorporated into Obama’s Stimulus Package.
